Reusable fabric gift bags made from vintage saris

Our reusable fabric gift bags are a sustainable and beautiful alternative to single-use gift wrap. Handmade from vintage saris and lined with recycled fabrics, each bag is designed to be given as part of the gift and reused time and time again.

Sustainable, reusable gift bags

Each gift bag in our collection is carefully handmade using reclaimed sari fabric and lined with recycled materials for added strength and durability.

Rather than being thrown away, the bags can be
- re-gifted again and again
- reused for storage
- repurposed around the home

We use our medium bags for storing organic cotton reels, and larger bags for protecting delicate scarves and textiles — just two exampled of their versatility.

Limited edition designs

All of our sari gift bags are limited edition. Once a particular pattern has sold out, it won’t be repeated — but we regularly add new, carefully selected designs to the collection.

Because each bag is made from vintage fabric, no two are ever exactly the same.

Medium and large bags are double stitched for extra strength, making them suitable for repeated use.

Materials and ethical sourcing

Reusing and repurposing materials is one of the most sustainable ways to create new products. We love giving a second life to beautiful vintage and reclaimed fabrics.

Sari fabric comes in a variety of fibres, including cotton and silk. Because the saris we use are reclaimed, we can’t always be certain of the exact fibre content. What we can guarantee is that
- all sari and lining fabrics are carefully checked
- fabrics are in excellent condition
- occasional small imperfections may be present and are part of the charm of reclaimed textiles

Each bag is
- stitched using responsibly sourced organic cotton thread or eco friendly TENCEL
- finished with unbleached organic cotton drawstring tape
- secured with a metal cord stop in either gold-tone or silver-tone, selected to complement the colours of the sari

Plastic-free packaging and care

In keeping with our commitment to sustainability
- we use recycled card packaging
- parcels are sealed with eco-friendly paper tape
- packaging is padded with fabric offcuts or recycled paper

All sari and lining fabrics are pre-washed using an eco-cycle and environmentally friendly detergent.
